Wonderlike ervaring. Was my eerste deelname. Sien uit na volgende!!

Voorkeur moet gegee word aan voëls in “natuurlike habitat” (nie by voerplekke, krane, op drade en wat besig is om gevoer te word nie)

Baie geluk aan die fotograwe met 5 tot 10 kunsfotos sommer op die 350-blad. Ons ander leer by julle

Ek het ‘n seldsame ondervinding gehad laat Saterdag middag toe twee eende kom swem het in my “rock pool” swembad bo in die Bronberg. Ek kon hulle nie identifiseer nie en het een foto ingestuur as “Identify” en die ander gemerk “Garganey” omdat dit die naaste gelyk het

Op die internet het ek Sondag vasgestel dat dit Mandarin Ducks was

Voor ek meer fotos kon neem het hulle in ‘n Noordelike rigting, oor Die Wilgers weggevlieg

Hi Andre, thanks for your thoughts. Please find three of your pictures in the overflow gallery: African Grey Hornbill, European Bee-eater and Three-banded Plover. The reason why they only show up now is because their filenames didn’t contain the info that our database uses to find them. The database searches for species names or photographers names in the filename; not filenumbers such as DSC0396. Thank you very much for your enthusiastic participation and your kind feedback. Great idea. Hope it becomes an annual or more frequent event. The weather was pretty awful for tele-photograhy in and around Kimberley on Saturday, especially for us beginners with entry model cameras and budget lenses. Some missing birds were spotted at Rooifontein, but lack of light and long lenses made it impossible to get close. It was great fun and I am sure all who participated enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Good thing the Currie Cup final was not on Saturday!!!
